Obama says We're not a Christian Nation

While on his overseas tour in April 2009, President Obama made a very disturbing speech in Turkey. Speaking of the United States of America, he told the audience, “…we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.” Continuing on he said, “…we consider ourselves a nation of citizens.” This is an example of the dangers of political correctness. Fearing that the rest of the world might feel offended by the Christian beliefs of the majority of our citizens, our President took it upon himself to re-define the status of the United States with a more politically-correct description. With this one statement by our elected leader, Shadow Truth has stepped up its mission to separate us from God.

Just a few weeks later, our President made an even more disturbing statement. In an interview with a French television station, he said that the United States could be considered as one of the largest Muslim countries in the world. On the surface, it seems to be a bit confusing that we are not labeled as a Christian nation in spite of the fact that the majority of our citizens are Christian. Instead, on the basis of a growing number of Muslims in our country, we have been labeled as one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.

Shadow Truth is seeing to it that the Christian heritage and identity of our nation is being downplayed and apologized for, while at the same time, a minority segment of our population is being promoted and elevated. In an effort to appease minority segments of our society, we are giving up and disposing of our own Christian heritage. As our weak and uninvolved Christian majority stands silently by, Shadow Truth is taking us one small step at a time further and further away from our Christian identity. By virtue of our vote in the Presidential election, we gave authority to our President to re-define our identity to the whole world.

Pro-Life People Are Nothing But Right Wing Ideologues

In President Obama’s commencement speech at Notre Dame University in May 2009, He told his audience that a pro-life doctor had written to him regarding his concern over the fact that Obama’s staff had posted a statement on the Obama website mentioning that he would fight “right-wing ideologues who want to take away a woman’s right to choose.” Obama told the university graduates that after reading the doctor’s concerns, he instructed his staff to change the words on the website, but he was not going to change his underlying position. He told the graduates that we should honor the conscience of those who disagree with abortion, but at the same time we should show respect for the equality of women.

Obama let the world know that he would not back down from his position of fighting against right-wing ideologues who have taken a stand against abortion. An ideologue is a person who blindly and impractically advocates some particular ideology. The President was saying that those who have taken a pro-life position are impractical, and blindly advocating that women cannot have the right to have abortions at will.

In so many words, the President of the United States implied that the pro-life position is the radical position, while his own radical position is the moderate one.

The agents of Shadow Truth are busy changing the definition of values and morality. Shadow Truth is craftily convincing the world that those things that once were considered to be right are now wrong, and those things once were considered to be wrong are now right.

For Lease

One human life available for lease. Easy payment plan; Pay when you want; Pay how you want; Pay as you want. No late-payment fees or hassles. Valuable option which allows you to convert your lease to permanent eternal life is available. Contact the Lord your God today for details. The Lord your God is the rightful owner of your human life per legal document Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.

From birth, we are taught that ownership is better than leasing or renting. When you own something, no one can take it away from you. It’s yours until you decide to sell it. Consequently, everything you own, contributes to your total value. A 2001 survey of consumer finances by the Federal Reserve states that people who rent have a net worth of less than $5,000, while the typical homeowner has a net worth of a little less than $175,000. Hence, the life lesson taught to us from birth, is that owning is superior to renting.

So, we accumulate possessions: cars, homes, household goods, savings accounts, investments, etc. Each year, we take a look at our net worth and see how much it has grown. We look forward to those retirement years when we can live off of what we own. We feel pity for those who never realized the importance of ownership, and its benefits.

Ownership sounds like the ultimate answer to life’s challenges. You are in control of your possessions until you make up your mind to get rid of those possessions. Ownership makes sense from the human point of view. However, there is another vantage point you should consider. The human life is but a vapor in the grand scheme of things. From the vantage point of all human existence, there is no such thing as ownership of yourself, or your material possessions. The definition of Ownership is holding lawful claim or title to something. On the other hand, Leasehold involves an agreement between the owner of a certain asset, and a person who desires to temporarily possess said asset for a certain period of time and for a certain form of compensation. At the end of the lease, the possession of the asset reverts back to the lawful owner. When you pass from life to death, you lose possession of your life, and all assets you have accumulated. You do not have a choice in the matter. Consequently, you never actually own anything. You are merely leasing. Hence the well-known phrase, “You can’t take it with you.”

Every human being that has ever been born, has leased his life and possessions from God. All that we are, and all that we possess in this human life is of a temporary nature.

So, is there a purpose to your human existence? Actually, there is. As a matter of fact, there is something you can actually own and take with you after you pass from this human life. This involves the law of inheritance. To inherit something is to receive by law from another, at his death. When one inherits assets and possessions, that person is in ownership of those assets. There is something you can do that will have eternal implications and benefits, allowing you to inherit eternal life.

What can you do to convert our temporary lease on life to eternal life?

You should accept Jesus into your life. John 3:16 …whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You should love God, and you should love your neighbor. Mat 22.37-40…Thou shalt love the Lord thy God …Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

How do you love your neighbor? Actions speak louder than words. Actions speak louder than your frame of mind. Jesus expects you to love your neighbor by what you do for your neighbor. Mat 25:34-40…Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you…For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

How do you show your love to God? By the way you help your neighbor. Ask yourself, “What do I want?” If you love your neighbor as yourself, you will know how to treat your neighbor. If you want salvation for yourself, you will share the Gospel with your neighbor, so that he might have salvation. If you want food, drink, clothing, health, comfort and friendship for yourself, you should give of these things to your neighbor.

Benjamin Franklin said that he believed that the most acceptable service to God was doing good to man.

You have a lease on life. Decide today, to accept the Option that God has offered you, and convert your temporary lease on life to eternal life.

Rights of the Child Treaty is at our Door Step

Senator Barbara Boxer is urging the U.S. to ratify the United Nations measure known as “The Rights of the Child Treaty. This treaty was signed by the Clinton administration in 1995, but it was never ratified by the U.S. Senate. Nearly every country in the world (193 nations) is party to the treaty -- only the U.S. and Somalia are not.

To the casual observer, approving a child’s rights treaty is a no-brainer. After all, the world’s children deserve basic human rights. However, there are many problems with this innocent-sounding treaty. Because of the Supremacy Clause in Article VI of the Constitution, the treaty would be rendered "the supreme law of the land," superseding America’s preexisting state and federal statutes. Any rights or laws established by the U.N. convention could then be argued to hold sway in the United States. An outside body of unaccountable so-called experts in Switzerland would have a say over how children in America should be raised, educated and disciplined, amounting to an erosion of American sovereignty.

The U.N. very craftily says that it has no way to enforce the treaty or punish those nations that fail to follow its precepts. However, it can be very difficult for a nation to extract itself from a treaty once it has been implemented. We should understand that where a child has a right fulfilled by the government, the responsibilities shift from parents to the government.

This treaty has the potential to mount a gross assault on parental rights, and it could rob the U.S. of sovereignty. If implemented, it will intrude on the family and it will strip parents of the power to raise their children without government interference. Parental rights groups see in the U.N. convention a threat that the government will meddle with even the simplest freedoms to raise their children as they see fit. Whether you ground your kids for smoking marijuana, whether you take them to church, whether you let them go to junior prom, all of those things . . . will be the government's decision It will affect every parent who's told their children to do the dishes. The treaty could prohibit children from being spanked or homeschooled, and forbid parents from deciding their families’ religion.

According to the Parental Rights website, the treaty dictates that: Parents would no longer be able to administer reasonable spankings to their children; children would have the ability to choose their own religion; the government would have the ability to override every decision made by every parent; a child would have the right to seek a governmental review of every parental decision with which the child disagreed; teaching children about Christianity in schools would not be permitted; parents will not be able to opt their children out of sex education at school; children would have the right to reproductive health information and services, including abortions, without parental knowledge or consent. The government would decide what is in the best interest of a child in every case. Parents could be treated like criminals for making every-day decisions about their children’s lives. If the parents thinks the child should go to church three times a week, but he child wants to go to church only once a week, the government would be able to decide what is in the best interest of the child.

It takes a two-thirds Senate majority to implement the treaty, not too difficult with a current democrat majority in the Senate. It is time for us to wake up and vote for conservative leaders who will protect us from such treaties and laws.

Common Denominators

768/1024, 48/64, 3072/4096, 24/32, 1536/2048, 192/256, 96/128, 384/512, 6/8, 12/16

Numbers, numbers, numbers. Lots of numbers.

On closer inspection, one finds that they are all fractions. As a matter of fact – they are all the exact same number. All of those numbers mean ¾, or 75%. A myriad of mind-boggling numbers, which no one can remember; yet they all quite simply mean a number we can all relate to: ¾.

How can the principle of common denominators relate to the Christian experience?

The Bible contains 66 books, 1,189 chapters, 31,101 verses and 783,137 words. There are 1,260 promises, 6,468 commands, 3,294 questions, and over 8,000 predictions. Among those 783,137 words are a multitude of laws, rules, regulations, principles, precepts, concepts, and thoughts. Like the numbers shown above, all of these words can be overwhelming to even the most seasoned Christian.

Could it be that there is a common denominator hidden amongst all of those words? Thankfully, there is. Let’s look at the following passages:

Romans 10:9
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

John 5:24
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 1:12-13
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 6:28-29
28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Matthew 22:36-40
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

According to Romans 10:9, John 5:24, and John 1:12 the pathway to salvation is navigated by way of believing in Jesus. Then after Salvation, according to John 6:28-29, the work we are expected to do in life is believing in Jesus. Finally, according to Matthew 22:36-40, living up to the law is accomplished by loving God, and loving our neighbor.

That’s it! The entire Word of God can be reduced to one sentence, resulting in a Biblical common denominator. We are to Believe in Jesus, Love Him, and Love our Neighbor.

But wait, you say, what about our witness? Aren’t we supposed to win the world by spreading the Good News? Yes, of course. And that is included in the common denominator. How? If we believe in Jesus; if we love Him; if we love our neighbor as ourselves; then we can’t help but tell our neighbor about Him!

One final note: If you examine every concept, every precept, every law, every rule, every regulation, and every thought found in the Bible, you will find that they are all founded upon, and based upon Believing in Him, Loving Him, and Loving our Neighbor!

A Gift Freely Given

One day as I found myself adrift,
A stranger gave me a wonderful gift.
Deeply indebted, I thought myself to be,
After all, that lovely gift certainly wasn’t free.

Experience had taught me in the past,
To repay my debts, or I would be harassed.
Right away, I embarked on a mission and a quest,
To repay my benefactor, and get some guilt off my chest.

I was in a quandary, and I began to fret,
As I desperately tried to repay my debt.
But this gift was different you see,
It wasn’t borrowed. It was entirely free.

The freely given gift I thought the world of,
It was given to me through an act of love.
I had a gift which I couldn’t buy or sell or trade,
It was something that could never be repaid.

If I could return the favor, my spirits would surely lift,
But alas, I was forever indebted for that freely given gift.
What was that wonderful gift, you ask,
What was the gift I could never repay?

My life of sin carried a sentence of death you see,
But a man called Christ gave His very life for me.
The judgment against me had been mercifully waived,
The sinless Christ had provided a way for me to be saved.

Because of his love, I am no longer adrift;
And I’m forever indebted for His freely given gift.
What can I do, now that I’m forgiven,
To repay my Christ for His gift so freely given?

I can share the good news to others who are adrift;
So they too can accept Him, and receive the gift that is freely given.
