The Coin

I examined a coin one day. On one side was “heads,” and on the other side, “tails:” different appearances and different meanings, yet the same coin. That coin caused me to pause and it caused me to think. Each action I take, and each choice I make is like minting a new coin. On one side of the coin is how that choice affects me, and on the other side is how it affects others. While carefully flipping that coin in my hand, I asked myself, “What sort of coin am I minting today?”--Larry Tate
